Ogopogo Animation School
Terms and Conditions
Effective date:
1 Who these terms apply to
These Terms and Conditions govern registration for seminars, enrollment in online and in studio courses, course packages, and use of the school's learning services. They explain what you purchase, your responsibilities as a learner, and how we handle changes and complaints. Separate contracts apply to production commissions and separately sold physical products.
Before placing a paid order, you must have an opportunity to read these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and actively confirm your agreement using an unchecked checkout box. Optional marketing and publicity permissions are separate. Browsing the website alone does not place an order or create a payment obligation.
The course description, price and specific arrangements disclosed and accepted at purchase form part of your enrolment. Mandatory rights under Bangladesh law take priority. The Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy governs refund eligibility, calculation and processing; the Privacy Policy explains personal-information handling. No later notice or unilateral change will reduce an entitlement already purchased.
2 Eligibility and registration
Provide accurate learner and contact information and keep it up to date. Any stated age, skill or course prerequisite must be disclosed before purchase. For a learner under 18, a parent or legal guardian must authorise enrolment, accept the applicable terms on the learner's behalf and provide the permissions required for participation and personal-information handling.
Free seminar registration does not automatically enrol you in a paid course or reserve a paid course seat. Seminar dates and joining instructions are communicated using the registration contact details.
3 Orders and enrolment confirmation
Adding a course to a cart or submitting an enquiry does not reserve a seat. A paid enrolment is confirmed when payment is verified and we issue a written enrolment confirmation by email or message. If a seat cannot be provided after payment, we offer a full refund or an alternative that you may choose to accept.
Before payment, the course listing or checkout must state the batch start date, delivery format, location or online platform, teaching hours, schedule, prerequisites, included resources and the deadline for sending confirmation and access instructions. Joining instructions must arrive before the first paid class. If they do not, contact us promptly; our failure to provide access is addressed under the refund policy.
If a material listing or pricing error is discovered, we explain it before accepting the order and seek your agreement to any correction. We do not charge an increased amount without your authorisation. If you decline the correction and we cannot fulfil the order as originally offered, we cancel it and refund any payment received.
4 Fees and payment
Prices are stated in Bangladeshi Taka unless expressly indicated otherwise. The final amount, including applicable taxes and any additional mandatory charge, is disclosed before payment. Discounts and package offers apply according to the conditions displayed at purchase. Later promotions do not automatically change an existing purchase price.
Use only payment methods made available through our official checkout or written school payment instructions. Where SSLCOMMERZ is offered, it processes the payment through its supported banks and payment channels; Kazi House Productions remains responsible for delivering the purchased school service and handling complaints and refund requests.
You must be authorised to use the selected payment method. Never send us your PIN, OTP, CVV, password or full card details. A pending or failed payment does not confirm enrollment. If money is debited without confirmation, contact us with the transaction reference before paying again so we can investigate.
Instalments or card EMI are available only when expressly offered. The payment schedule and any provider charges must be disclosed before agreement. For an overdue amount owed to us, we provide written notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve it before suspending future access. We do not impose undisclosed late fees or retain money contrary to the refund policy or applicable law.
5 Classes and learning resources
We provide the teaching and resources described at purchase. Class times are in Bangladesh Standard Time (UTC+6) unless clearly stated otherwise. Online learners are responsible for the device, internet connection and lawfully licensed software requirements disclosed before purchase. Software licences, equipment and consumable materials are included only where the course description says so.
Recordings, downloadable resources, makeup classes and access after the course are included only where specifically promised. Any promised access period must be stated before payment. Learners should attend on time, follow reasonable instructions and complete the required assignments. Personal absence does not automatically create an entitlement to a replacement class or refund; any advertised makeup arrangements still apply.
If we miss a class or fail to provide a promised resource, we have a make-up day or arrange a reasonable remedy. Instructor substitutions must maintain the promised course standard. A change that materially affects what you purchased is handled under the course-change provisions below.
6 Studio conduct and safety
Treat instructors, staff and fellow learners respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, threats, bullying, impersonation, plagiarism, deliberate disruption and unauthorised access to school systems are prohibited. Good-faith feedback and complaints are welcome.
In-studio learners must follow equipment and safety instructions, use protective equipment where required, and use tools, electrical equipment, chemicals or machinery only with authorisation and supervision appropriate to the activity. Report injuries, hazards or damaged equipment promptly. We provide reasonable safety instructions and supervision for the activities we offer. Participation does not waive our legal responsibilities for safety.
Do not remove school equipment or another person's work without permission. Learners should take reasonable care of their belongings and any equipment entrusted to them. Any claim for damage must be based on the circumstances and supported actual loss, rather than an automatic penalty.
7 School materials and student work
School teaching materials, lesson recordings, templates and other course content remain the property of their respective rights holders. Enrolment gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use supplied materials for the purchased learning purpose and stated access period. You may not resell, publicly distribute or share paid materials or access credentials without permission. Any broader licence expressly supplied with an asset or template continues to apply.
You retain ownership of original work you create, subject to any third-party rights in included assets. By submitting work, you permit us to use and display it as reasonably necessary for teaching, assessment and feedback within the course. This does not grant us ownership or a general right to use it commercially.
Public promotional use of your identifiable work, name, image or testimonial requires separate permission. You may use your original work in your portfolio, provided you respect third-party licences, collaborator rights and any separately agreed confidentiality restrictions. Do not include confidential studio or client materials without authorisation.
8 Privacy and recordings
Personal information is handled as explained in the school's Privacy Policy, including registration forms, payment records, class participation and service providers. Essential enrolment messages are separate from optional promotional communications.
Where we record a class, we explain the purpose, intended viewers and availability period before recording and obtain any consent required by law. Contact us before the class if you have a privacy concern. Learners must not record or publish other participants, class discussions or private contact details without the necessary permissions. Permission to participate in a class is not permission for public promotion.
9 Assessment and certificates
Certificate eligibility depends on the attendance, assignment and assessment requirements disclosed for the course before purchase. We assess learners against those requirements and explain how to raise a concern about a result. A certificate of completion is not represented as an accredited academic qualification unless the course expressly identifies the relevant accreditation.
Training, feedback and career guidance do not guarantee a job, internship, freelance income or placement. Any opportunity with Ogopogo Studios or another organisation is considered separately and subject to its selection process. Your statutory rights concerning misleading promises remain unaffected.
10 Cancellation refunds and transfers
The Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy forms part of your enrolment terms. Under that policy, a full change-of-mind refund may be requested within 72 hours of successful payment, provided the course has not started and you have not attended a paid class or accessed paid recordings or downloadable course materials. Free previews, public syllabuses and free seminars do not count as paid use.
If the first class starts within 72 hours of payment, that cancellation window ends at the scheduled class start; the shorter period must be clearly disclosed before payment. Requests are measured in calendar hours using Bangladesh time, based on when we receive them.
Separate refund grounds apply to duplicate or excess payments, cancellation by us, material changes you cannot accept, and failure to supply the promised service. The 72-hour restriction does not remove those grounds or mandatory legal remedies. Eligible refunds use the amount actually paid, with partial-course and package calculations as set out in the refund policy.
Approved refunds normally reach the original payment source within 7–10 working days from written approval. Working days mean Sunday to Thursday, excluding Bangladesh public and banking holidays. We do not deduct our own administration or gateway fees from eligible refunds or substitute course credit without your agreement.
Course and batch transfers depend on availability and written agreement. Any price difference is explained before you agree. A transfer is not a substitute for a refund to which you are entitled. Send refund requests to ogopogoschool@gmail.com with your order and transaction details, or call +880 1314073388.
If a paid seat cannot be provided before the course starts, we offer a full refund or an alternative that you may choose to accept.
11 Changes interruptions and school cancellation
We notify affected learners promptly of schedule or delivery changes and explain the proposed remedy. If we cancel a course before it starts, you receive a full refund unless you choose an alternative. If we discontinue it after teaching begins, we provide an agreed replacement or the applicable refund for undelivered teaching.
If we materially change the agreed start date, format, location or core content and you cannot accept the change, you may cancel before receiving the changed service under the refund policy. Emergencies, severe weather, public restrictions, sickness and major outages may require rescheduling. They do not give us an unlimited right to retain payment for undelivered services or require you to accept an indefinite delay.
12 Suspension and termination
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a serious safety risk, fraud, unauthorised sharing or a material breach of these terms. Where practicable, we explain the concern and give you an opportunity to respond or correct it. Urgent protective action may be taken first, followed by notice and review.
You may ask the school administration to reconsider a suspension or termination. Any financial adjustment must be consistent with the refund policy and applicable law. Termination does not automatically forfeit every amount paid or extinguish a valid refund claim.
13 Responsibilities and complaints
We are responsible for providing the services we promise with reasonable care and skill. Learners are responsible for their participation, conduct and compliance with clearly disclosed requirements. No provision excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including obligations concerning fraud, misleading representations, personal injury or consumer protection where applicable.
Raise concerns with school administration using the contact details below and provide relevant order or course information. For refund requests, we acknowledge receipt within two working days and normally issue a decision within three working days of receiving the necessary information, as stated in the refund policy. If investigation takes longer, we explain the outstanding issue and expected decision date.
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. We aim to resolve concerns directly, but this does not prevent access to competent courts, available consumer-protection authorities or legitimate bank and payment-provider dispute processes. No compulsory private arbitration or waiver of statutory remedies is imposed by these terms.
14 Updates and contact
We publish revised terms with an effective date. The version accepted at purchase continues to govern that purchase unless a lawful change is agreed with you or required by law. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent legally permitted.
